If defendant is an individual (rather than a corporation), she has the right to address the court without an attorney or ask the court to recruit an attorney to assist her, assuming she is without sufficient funds to hire an attorney. Alternatively (and this seems to be what defendant Gharbi wants), she should contact plaintiff's lawyer at the email address below and seek to settle the case. It is unclear from the 4/14/2023 email message whether defendant Gharbi is requesting a hearing.
