01/22/2025 CERTIFICATE of Service by Plaintiff Yiwu Baimei Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., a Chinese Limited Corporation
01/21/2025 MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: Before the Court is Plaintiff's motion for entry of default and default judgment 21 against the remaining defendants identified in Schedule A 4. All remaining defendants have failed either to plead or to otherwise appear to defend against this action. Accordingly, default against all defendants on Schedule A is entered under Rule 55(a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Any objections to the motion for entry of default judgment by the defaulted Defendants must be filed on or before 1/28/25. If no objections are filed by that date, the Court will consider the motion unopposed. Plaintiff must serve this minute order upon all remaining affected Defendants within one business day of its entry on the docket and promptly file proof of that service. Motion hearing set for 2/6/25 is stricken. Mailed notice (gel,)

12/27/2024 ANNUAL REMINDER: Pursuant to Local Rule 3.2 (Notification of Affiliates), any nongovernmental party, other than an individual or sole proprietorship, must file a statement identifying all its affiliates known to the party after diligent review or, if the party has identified no affiliates, then a statement reflecting that fact must be filed. An affiliate is defined as follows: any entity or individual owning, directly or indirectly (through ownership of one or more other entities), 5% or more of a party. The statement is to be electronically filed as a PDF in conjunction with entering the affiliates in CM/ECF as prompted. As a reminder to counsel, parties must supplement their statements of affiliates within thirty (30) days of any change in the information previously reported. This minute order is being issued to all counsel of record to remind counsel of their obligation to provide updated information as to additional affiliates if such updating is necessary. If counsel has any questions regarding this process, this LINK will provide additional information. Signed by the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall on 12/27/2024: Mailed notice.
12/18/2024 MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: The Court has reviewed Plaintiff's status report 18, which states that Plaintiff has elected not to pursue an asset restraint or preliminary injunction in this matter and summons were executed on 12/17/24 (answers to the complaint are therefore due by 1/7/25) 17. Accordingly, by 1/21/25, Plaintiff is ordered to file any motions for entry of default pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 55(a). If there are any remaining defendants against whom default and default judgment are not being sought, Plaintiff is ordered to file by the same date a status report identifying each defendant against whom this case is proceeding and state whether the parties anticipate a settlement or further litigation. The telephonic status hearing previously set for 12/19/24 7 is stricken. Emailed notice.
12/17/2024 STATUS Report by Yiwu Baimei Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., a Chinese Limited Corporation
12/17/2024 SUMMONS Returned Executed by Yiwu Baimei Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., a Chinese Limited Corporation as to 7YH7DL on 12/17/2024, answer due 1/7/2025; AASFJEG on 12/17/2024, answer due 1/7/2025; abbageba on 12/17/2024, answer due 1/7/2025.
12/16/2024 MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: Plaintiff failed to file an initial status report by 12/12/24, as previously ordered 7. Accordingly, Plaintiff is ordered to file the overdue status report by 12/17/24. If no status report (or notice of voluntary dismissal) is filed by that date, this case will be dismissed for want of prosecution. Emailed notice.
12/04/2024 SUMMONS Issued as to Defendant 7YH7DL
11/19/2024 ORDER AUTHORIZING EXPEDITED THIRD-PARTY DISCOVERY AND ELECTRONIC SERVICE OF PROCESS Signed by the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt on 11/19/2024. Emailed notice.
11/19/2024 MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: Plaintiff's motions for expedited third-party discovery 9 and electronic service 10 are granted. Electronic service of process does not violate any treaty and is consistent with due process because it is an effective way to communicate with these online marketplace defendants. Expedited discovery is warranted to identify defendants. Enter Order Authorizing Expedited Third-Party Discovery and Electronic Service of Process. However, Plaintiff's motion for entry of a temporary restraining order, including a temporary injunction, and a temporary asset restraint 11 is denied. Plaintiff filed this case on 10/22/24 but failed to take any further action until after the Court entered an order on 11/15/24 7 unsealing Schedule A and setting initial status dates. Due to this delay and because Defendants' identities are not under seal, Plaintiff's basis for seeking ex parte relief no longer exists. After obtaining Defendants' contact information through third-party discovery, Plaintiff may file a properly noticed motion for entry of a preliminary injunction or other appropriate relief. No appearance is necessary on 11/26/24. Emailed notice.
